Odds and Ends from America

I am almost done posting pictures from America. One more post after this and I think I will be finished.

This was the first sunset I saw upon arriving. Amazing, gorgeous sunsets are a fairly common occurrence in Idaho.

A few days after arriving I attended a baby shower in Oregon, at the home of a friend of my mother-in-law. This is the view out the friend's front window.

Of course I always think a view is even better if it has some flowers in the foreground.

Anna reunited with one of her favorite cousins, Darby. I wish I'd had a camera at the ready when they first saw each other. A video camera, actually. They ran toward each other calling "Anna!", "Darby!", hugged and immediately seemed to begin talking wherever they had last left off. They hadn't seen each other for 3 years, so I was shocked at how they just fell into step with each other.

Inside the friend's home I was lucky enough to get a tour of the home. Each and every room was stunning and I took many pictures. I don't suppose it would be appropriate for me to post pictures of another persons home on my blog and so I won't, except this one. The woman is a crafter and I just about hyper-ventilated when I saw her craft room. It was, for me, the epitome of a PERFECT craft room, right down to the last detail - purple counter tops! I could go on and on about the many perfect details, many of which I photographed, but I doubt people who read this blog would be interested so I'll spare you.

One more post to do from America, and then I'll have to start catching up with all of the happenings since returning to Taiwan! School starts tomorrow so I should have time. On the other hand, I am supposed to be getting my very own car any day now, so I may not be sitting around home too much!

  1. I love the purple tops as well. Plus, it just looks so incredibly organized.

  2. Much tidier than my craft room. Looks like the water parks are similar the world over.
